Community CohesionBuilding and maintaining cohesion has become an important aspect of the work of organisations such as Camden BME Alliance, and indeed public authorities and community leaders. However, understanding how this can be achieved in reality presents a huge challenge for local partners. Camden BME Alliance Community Cohesion Conference, is being hosted on 19th June 2007; 9am-4pm.
“Raise awareness and debate about community cohesion at a national and local level”
The key themes will be multi-cultureism, race/equalities and religious extremism. The conference will address issues of community cohesion in regards to service delivery, young people in Camden and the prevalent gang culture in BME communities, Inner-City London Boroughs good practice sharing presentations and review of Camden commissioning process of equalities projects. The day will consist of guest’s speakers including confirmed speakers:
